About Me

I’m the founder & former CEO of Somewhere.com (formerly Shepherd). In 2024 I sold a controlling stake at a $52m valuation and am now an advisor.

I’m "retired" and sharing lessons learned for fun. I spend time on family, passion projects like designing a custom home with my wife, and collecting cars.

I’ve started a wide range of companies and projects. Before Somewhere.com, I built and sold Peel – makers of the original super-thin iPhone case. I also started and sold a boutique hotel in downtown St. Louis, among many other projects in software, services, ecommerce, and real estate.

I don’t have any formal training – I’ve winged it ever since dropping out of school. I’m a Forbes 30 Under 30 and my business was named by Inc. as one of the fastest growing private companies in America in 2018 (ranked #1 in our state and #108 nationwide).

I share everything I’ve learned. You can read more about me here.
